Jerk Chicken Recipe
An easy way to make Jerk Chicken whilst not compromising on fresh flavours. We combine a range of natural spices to create a spicy, vibrant blend. Simply add a few fresh ingredients for a tasty, protein packed meal. Also works great on Salmon and Tofu!
Serves 2
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 Minutes
INGREDIENTS
Chicken legs, breasts or thighs (I prefer to use thighs)
2 level tsp of Jerk Spice Blend
2 tbsp soy sauce
Dash of olive oil
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut chicken into cubes
Add to bowl with 1 tbsp of oil and soy sauce.
Add a serving of Jerk Blend
Mix and leave for ideally 2-3 hours
If you want more heat, you can add some fresh chilli chopped finely at this stage
COOKING
The chicken can be cooked under the grill or in a griddle/ frying pan
If under the grill, turn on high, place chicken on grill tray or skewer them (coating the skewers in oil first to prevent sticking)
Keep turning, cook for around 10 mins until chicken is cooked through
If cooking in a pan, add a little oil and keep heat on high to start, then lower once meat starts to glaze
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Serve with Rice and Salad
