Advieh Spice Rice Recipe

Create this delicious Advieh Spiced Rice Recipe using just a small handful of ingredients to add a subtle flavour.

Cook Time: 30 minutes
INGREDIENTS
1 Onion finely diced 
1 tbsp Unsalted butter
150g Basmati rice, rinsed with water
Handful of raisins 
Small handful of chopped almonds
 
INSTRUCTIONS
Place a heavy based pan on a high heat and melt the butter.  Add the onions and reduce the heat to allow the onions to soften for around 8 minutes.
Once softened, add the Freshly Spiced Advieh Spice Blend and stir through, place the washed rice in the pan and ensure it gets a good coating of the butter and spice.
Add a cup of water and bring to the boil, reduce to a simmer and cover the pan.
Keep checking every 5 mins and add more water if it starts to stick and cook for 20 minutes, until the rice has softened.
Before serving add another tbsp of butter and coat all the rice in it for a rich tasting dish, scatter in the raisins, sprinkle the chopped almonds and serve. 
 
We serve it alongside some Advieh seasoned chicken that has been baked for 20 minutes and a mixed salad.
