Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
INGREDIENTS
200g King Prawns (ideally fresh)
1 Onion -finely sliced
1 Stick Celery – grated or finely sliced
1 Carrot- grated or finely sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp Spiced Spaghetti Blend
Spaghetti- Enough for 2 (around 150-170g)
Fish or vegetable stock- 300ml -can use a cube for this to save time
1 tbsp tomato puree
A glug of white wine
Fresh or dried parsley to serve-finely chopped
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat the oil in a large pan
Firstly add the onion, carrot and celery, simmer for 7-10mins until soft
Once softened add the Spaghetti Spice Blend and stir in for a minute, you can add a little water to prevent it sticking
Then add the stock and wine.
At this point you will have quite a bit of liquid, don’t worry it will simmer down to form a nice sauce.
Reduce to a simmer
At this stage you want to get your spaghetti on as both will take around 10 mins
5 minutes into the spaghetti cook time get your prawns into the sauce, add the tomato puree as well. Stir and cook for the remaining 5 mins.
When the sauce has thickened add the spaghetti to the pan and mix together
Serve and scatter the chopped parsley
Beautiful meal! I bought the spice blend at sutton bonnington show and finally got round to using it tonight. Very quick and easy meal anyone could make it. From this one blend I have placed my order for 4 more! Can’t wait to try them
