Spiced Biscuit Recipe.
A delicious spiced biscuit using our unique sweet spice blend, with a sweetness from cinnamon hints of nutmeg, mace, cardamom, rose petals and more.
Servings: Approximately 50 medium sized biscuits
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Bake Time: 10 minutes
INGREDIENTS
250g Butter
100g Caster Sugar
3 Tsp Sweet Blend
1 Egg
300g Plain Flour
INSTRUCTIONS
Cream the butter in a mixer, add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy
Add the egg and spice blend and mix
Gradually add the flour and blend fully
Form a ball with the mixture, cover with cling film and leave to chill for at least 1 hour or overnight
Preheat oven to 180c/gas Mark 4
Roll out the dough onto a lightly floured surface, roll out to your desired thickness (around .25cm)
Use your favourite cutter and cut out your biscuits, place them on a baking tray
Bake in the oven for 8-12 minutes until golden.
Remove to wire racks to cool
Optional: Optional to add decorations or icing if desired when fully cooled
These biscuits were so easy to make and they taste delicious. I’ve saved half the mixture my fridge to bake a fresh batch next week!
